Nature and scope of our Financial Advice
Fizzy Financial Limited exclusively provides advice on KiwiSaver products and providers. KiwiSaver is a voluntary, work-based savings and investment scheme established by the New Zealand government. Its primary goal is to help Kiwis build wealth for their retirement or buy their first home.
We work with a range of KiwiSaver providers to ensure that our clients have access to options that match their needs. Some of the KiwiSaver providers we are accredited to work with include:

Fizzy Financial, and anyone authorised to give advice on our behalf, have some specific duties under the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013.
We are required to:

Exercise care, diligence, and skill in providing you with advice.
Meet standards of competence, knowledge and skill
Meet standards of ethical behaviour, conduct and client care

Fees
Fizzy Financial Limited does not charge any fee or expenses for Financial Advice provided to our clients, even if you decide not to proceed with any recommendations we might make.
As a KiwiSaver member, you will pay ongoing management and other fees and expenses to whichever KiwiSaver provider is managing your funds. These fees, and how they work will be explained in the Product Disclosure Statement for your recommended KiwiSaver scheme.
Incentives and Commission
We do receive commissions from the KiwiSaver providers whose products and funds we are accredited to give advice on.
If you decide to proceed with a recommendation we make, the product provider will pay a commission to Fizzy Financial. The amount of commission payable is based on the total of your KiwiSaver fund balance, however this will not incur any additional cost to you as a client. These commissions are (unless otherwise specified in your advice recommendation) paid out of the KiwiSaver provider’s existing fees.
From time to time, KiwiSaver product providers may also decide to reward us for the overall business we provide to them. They may give us tickets to sports events, hampers, or other incentives.
Conflicts of Interest
The advisers and directors of Fizzy Financial Limited do hold ownership interests in the business. This means that they may benefit financially from the success of the business, including from the advice they provide, and we do recognise that this could present a conflict of interest.
To ensure that our financial advisers prioritise our clients’ interests above their own, we follow a strict advice process to ensure our recommendations are based solely on each individual client’s goals, needs and circumstances.
All of our advisers undergo training at least annually on managing conflicts of interest.
We also engage with an independent compliance consultancy at least annually to review our processes, policies and controls to make sure that our advice is never compromised by conflicts of interest.

To provide you with KiwiSaver advice, we need certain personal and financial information. Any information collected for this service and used in associated advice reports is treated as confidential and stored securely.

Complaints
If you are not satisfied with the financial advice service we have provided, you can make a complaint by contacting us over email, in writing or by calling us.

We aim to resolve complaints within 5 working days of receiving them. If we can’t, we will contact you within that time to let you know we need more time to consider your complaint.
We will contact you by phone or email to let you know whether we can resolve your complaint and how we propose to do so.
Disputes Resolution
If we cannot resolve your complaint, or you are not satisfied with the way we propose to do so, you can contact our external, independent dispute resolution service.
We are a member of the Financial Services Complaints Limited Scheme (FSCL), a free, fair and independent financial services disputes resolution service who can help investigate and resolve your complaint.
